I actually drew this up a couple months back to my own surprise. It started with a dream about this elephant's battle cry and grew into a full scene from there.  I got really into giving that wolf in the foreground a very bad day.  When I showed my friend, Kelly, over at Happiness Island, she felt really sorry for him, so I have promised her vengeance in a future piece.

an experiment...

I almost always paint with gouache, but have been trying to heighten my comfort level with other mediums. I'll occasionally try a piece in oils, which usually results in an unfinished painting, or acrylic, which usually results in me pulling my hair out. This is my first shot at watercolor in I don't know how many years. It's a bit messy, and I used my gouaches to cover a few mistakes and get into the detail, but the paints show promise...
